Unfortunately, that's exactly what the enemy has planned...

Air The Elementals Book Two eBook LB Gilbert
Air is a fun book, just as Fire is... and while Logan and Dianna (Fire) are very different, the brash confidence, do what they want cuz they can attitude is the same. I loved how Logan would simply turn into air and reappear somewhere else fun, even as it drove Connell nuts. So, the book is fun and enjoyable... you have a fun couple who are oddly well suited to each other, and interesting mystery, and a few unexpected "oops" moments... loved when Logan tried to fix a situation and managed a partial fix. While Connell's family were so not happy with her 'fix", she didn't see much of a problem with it.
Logan is an extremely fun character and Connell... well he came across as quite the jerk to begin with but ended a less jerky, but still somewhat of a jerk, but a lovable one. He wants what he wants, and he decides quite earlier on that Logan is his (after he gets past his erroneous idea that is is the enemy and harmed him). He does not require her agreement, just decides she is his and acts accordingly which, while jerky, is still touching and amusing in some of his actions.
And while Fire is a great book and the first of this series, you do not need to read it to fully enjoy or understand anything in this book. I recommend reading Fire also simply because it is a good book, but it really does not add anything to this book.

Air The Elementals Book Two eBook LB Gilbert Reviews
I've read both books and thoroughly enjoyed the stories of the elementals, the action, witticism and their love. Most of all I love reading about the powerful women who found their mates who are well matched to their individualities. Can't wait for the next book!
Logan and Connell are a good couple in terms of spark and engagement on the page. The misunderstanding part was somewhat annoying as an obvious plot device. My biggest issue was the age point. Logan is 19 and this was her first relationship. I really think that she as barely older than a child. This really bothered me.
This is the 2nd book in the series. I enjoyed the first one very much but this one was even better. Very descriptive characters. Excellent supernatural mystery story line but also a love story. Did not want to stop reading it! I am anxious to read the next one if the series. Hope it won't be too long.
*I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book*
I read Fire and I loved it so I couldn't wait to read this book. I was not disappointed. I love the air elemental just as much. I feel bad for Serin so I hope the next book will help her find happiness. Logan and Connell are great together. I really love the pairings so far in this series.... Fire elemental with a vampire and Air elemental with a werewolf. What paranormal creatures will the last two be paired off with? I can't wait to find out!!
This was a fun read. The mystery was solid--there were lots of good clues for misdirection.
While larger troubles offered hints at the arc of the series, they didn't slow down the pace of this story.
Didn't get to see Diana & Alec from Fire, but Gia got to be more fleshed out, and lots of good hints that Serin will have one heck of a story once it's her turn.
I would have liked to see more of Connell & Logan figuring out how they work together, but this was a fun read, good characters, steady pace, strong plot. Have to give it 5 for enjoyability.
I needed something new to read while I wait for my favorite authors to GET GOING!!! and bought two in this series based purely on the customer reviews. Mistake. None of this appealed to me, not the storyline, the writing itself was quite juvenile, the characters are shallow and so damn trite you'd think the author would be embarrassed to put forth more of these trivial women. I don't find spoiled brat women very appealing. Stomping your feet and swearing to yourself that you refuse to let anyone treat you like this, or that "as God is my witness, I'll never go hungry again" has been done too many times already and really does not make her a strong, powerful woman.
I loved this book. Logan, Air Elemental, already shows up in Fire when she has Diana's back. But this little box of wind-riding dynamite is wicked fierce!
Logan is meant to be convalescing after her last case, but realizes she's being watched. Connell thinks his military experience is keeping him out of his mark's sights, and even though he is mesmerized by her he believes she has stolen something from him. He is soooo wrong.
Logan surprises him by confronting him when he least expects it. And surprises him further by realizing she's being truthful AND willing to help him get back what is stolen.
Logan is young, but Connell wants her for himself. He's fiercely protective even though she can take care of herself. So she thinks a fling is order, for experience of all things, while Connell has already decided he's going to keep her forever.
It's action-packed, funny, loving, surprisingly family-oriented & deeply engrossing. I got into this book & got lost in the pages. The Elemental women are sure to keep you flipping pages and I'm ready for the next book!
Gilbert hits top marks with the first two books in this series.
